Location	• Situated in some of the most beautiful countryside North West Ireland has to offer, Gallaghers Equestrian Centre caters for all types of horse riding and every experience level of rider. Whether you're an experienced rider looking for scenic Trail Riding or looking to improve your Show Jumping or Dressage skills, or even a complete beginner who would like to learn how to ride a horse, we have the facilities and qualified riding instructors ready to make your stay with us unforgettable! • Horse Riding Holidays are only half the story though, for the days you don't wish to ride we have Shooting and Fly Fishing activities on offer too. For those who would like to explore more of what Donegal has to offer there are a range of excursions and places of interest within the area to explore. • Apartments • There are several apartments on the Farm. All but one was completed in 2008 and contains kitchenette/kitchen (depending on the apartment size), along with shower room and toilet. There is a double bedroom with options for singles, couples or shares up to four people and a cozy living area. All of the apartments are decorated in neutral colours with attention paid to simple utility to make your stay a home away from home. • The old stable block apartment is charmingly rustic with its own potbelly stove, Kitchen, Bathroom and toilet, living room and double bedroom. • The new flats are located in the East and West Wing of the main house. Finn Farm house is situated on a hillside with views over the paddocks, cottages and stables and the Finn Valley itself. • We request that a no smoking policy be adhered to when inside the apartments. Outside you can sit in the relaxation areas on the furniture provided to have a drink or simply take in the views and chill out. • Dining • Close to the apartments is a charming communal dining area where you can meet the other guests and enjoy a full Irish or a vegetarian Breakfast, piping hot coffee or tea, and an array of fresh fruit juices. • Breakfast is served from 7-9 a.m. • For lunch & Dinner we will provide you with options to choose from. Either in a reputable restaurant a short drive into the nearby town of Ballybofey, or Sandwiches & Snacks brought directly to you, or going to one of the many Eateries along the many Trails. • Club bar • At the end of the day you can congregate and meet other guests at Gallagher's Equestrian Centre's meeting point and purchase a beverage from our well stocked Bar. We have a selection of Mineral Waters and Soft Drinks for you to choose from. • If its something warmer that you need then we have fresh coffees and teas too. • It's the perfect way to ‘shoot the breeze' or share the ‘Craic' of your day's activities.

I stayed here last August -- it was dirty, the bed linen was old, and the place hadn't seen a lick of paint in years. The fridge was something else -- god knows when it was cleaned last. yes the owner was friendly, but that isn't enough in this day and age.

This is truly one of the best hostels I have stayed at in Ireland. It is welcoming and relaxing. Your host Eddie has loads of local knowledge and will point you in the right direction no matter where your interests lie, be it pubs and music, walks, and scenic places or local activities. The hostel has private rooms and shared accommodation and has a comfortable lounge with a cosy wood burning stove, and you'll have plenty of time to plan your route the next day. The hostel is tucked away in a beautiful rural location on the outskirts of ballybofey, a lively village and is well worth a visit, and once been you'll be back -- for sure!

Great hostel. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to have a cheap break with great views from the converted horse stables where you can stay and enjoy a warm fire in the evenings. Also, it is owned by Eddie who is a friendly man and great craic. What happened in the past should stay there and I somewhat admire what he's done!!

Apparently owned by "Mad Eddie" Gallagher, IRA man convicted of kidnapping Dutch national Tiede Herrema 30 years ago.

We visited this hostel last June, and it was considerably rundown. There appeared to be nobody looking after the place, and it was undergoing considerable refurbishment. Perhaps we arrived at a bad time, but we certainly wouldn't recommend it just now.

Amazing craic. This place has a really friendly and warm atmosphere. I was really pleased that I stayed here.
