I can't believe the online photos I have seen of Maria's schoolhouse. It looks immaculate. We stayed there last week, and it looks nothing like this! The kitchen especially was a complete mess. And the owner/ manager was not there for most of the time. The whole place seemed to be deserted sometimes. To be fair, the bedrooms were reasonably clean and the bathroom spotless. And what was missing in cleanliness was made up for by the quirky charm and "weirdness" of the place!

Last year, I was visiting Maria's Schoolhouse and it was really nice and clean. This year (20 july 05) I wanted to stay again at Maria's Schoolhouse, but it was a mess. The door was open but there was nobody in the house. It looked like something terrible had overcome the house and it's family. It made me sad. I hope everything will be okay the next time that I will visit Union Hall.
