Great Beautiful hostel, Sean was wonderful. It was clean and quiet. We come back next year!!!!! — Anonymous , germany (2011-12-22)

Very comfortable for a one night stop My daughter and I recently did a 6 day driving tour through Ireland. This was our 3rd hostel. We came in around 7 PM and stayed in a private room with 2 bunk bed. Even though baths are in the hall, we were very comfortable and enjoyed our stayed. We ate the supper and breakfast we toted along downstairs and watched TV. Walked around the lovely town for 2 hrs. Very comfy, very friendly staff, and good rates. Would come back again! — Daphne , US (2008-06-28)

Sean (owner) was wonderful. It's interesting to know the hostel used to be his father's car repair garage. He passed away and Sean took it over. Eventually, he turned it into this lovely hostel. It was the first hostel that had a bathmat. That was a real treat. The kitchen may have been small but it was clean. The view from our room was lovely. We ate dinner on the fire escape which was charming even though there is a dining room. We also liked being able to sit out front at the patio table provided and watch people go by and talk to other travellers. Clifden is such a pretty town and this hostel made our stay enjoyable. — Donna Harris, Don Runge (2006-07-10)

It was clean and quiet. It had a small kitchen but it had everything you needed. There was a spacious common room, which was more like a living room to a house. The hostel is located almost right across from the bus stop. I would stay there again for sure. — Davey H. (2005-02-22)
