A coastal castle within an easy walk of stunning deserted beaches. Friendly staff happy to help with hire bikes or an introduction to potent Belgian ale! A great hostel in a perfect, almost undiscovered, part of Europe. We managed to get there by train and bus fairly easily, although most people here had brought their cars and were staying for a few weeks.

I stayed here nearly five years ago and it was amazing. It's right in the middle of a huge coastal forest with rent bikes available cheaply and full of friendly Belgians. The theme/eco park, 'Waterland Neejete Jaans' is nearby. All this, and excellent staff go out of their way to help.
