Excellent start to traveling I had never been traveling or shared accommodation and Travellers Inn was my first. Jenny and Daniel were friendly, informative, and generous (brilliant hosts). The hostel was clean comfortable and all of the people I met were good fun people. The location is ideal to travel Singapore and the two local food markets were good food and good value for money. Would stay again. — David , England (2011-03-24) EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE NO REGRETS in booking at The Travellers Inn. It is a just more than a business. Daniel and Jenny are very hospitable, accommodating, and friendly. They care about the security of the guests. I never expect the especial treatment showed to us by the couple until i realize that they always do it to all their guests. they book for us the universal studios ticket without additional service charge, likewise with the shuttle bus going to changi airport -- all their extra services they extent to their guests has no service charge. They also coached us how to go to every tourist destinations in singapore, what bus or mrt to take,including the best recommended food there and the hostel is very clean, i've learnt a Singaporean Culture from Jenny. she is like an elder sister to me. everyone, this is the best and most recommended hostel in Singapore with very cheap rate but with excellent customer service. — donna , philippines (2011-03-20) We loved this hostel We stayed 2 nights at Travellers Inn and we loved it! Jenny & Daniel were so friendly and welcoming. We really felt at home there. The hostel itself is very clean and close to the metro and to the city centre. Jenny and Daniel really take care of their guest and the place. It is very very clean and quiet (means that you can sleep at night). If you have any questions, Daniel and Jenny will answer. Furthermore they organize taxis, tour tickets. It felt a bit like a homestay. During my stay, the host (Jenny & Daniel) provided their advices on foods, sightseeing spots and tried to help if I had any problems; moreover, we talked a lots about the regulations & custom of Singapore what I'm also interested in. By then, I do know more about this FINE country. It's located near two MRT stations (EW11 & NS8), so no matter where I was going to, it did shorten the time on transportation. About the hostel itself, it is super clean everywhere in the public area, and the mattress is really comfortable to have a good sleep at night. A free breakfast is served for free; meanwhile, we talked and shared in a group. Not only in the morning, but in the evening or at night, there were people gathered in the living room, watching DVD, talking … just did as you do at home. That's why I said it's a home far away from home. Actually, it's not created by me, but the main goal which Jenny & Daniel are trying to achieve. I think they're doing well and they're still pushing themselves to be better. (just like their country, Singapore.) I went to night safari with a Japanese girl, Risa, and accompanied with Robert (a Germany boy) to Santosa. I was introduced to other guests and went out together with them if the schedule met. At the end of my stay, I decided to extend extra 2-day from 10-day to 12-day at Travellers Inn since I made good friends with Wendy (a girl from HongKong) and YuBin (a boy from China). How am I supposed to make friends in a hostel? But I actually did. We three were fundamentally a group since their check-in date. So Travellers Inn doesn't provide the friendly services only, they are doing connections among people as well. Travellers Inn is the best hostel I have stayed so far. In case, I'm allowed by time to go back to Singapore, Travellers Inn would be my choice again, because IT IS MY HOME IN SINGAPORE. — Upton , Taiwan (2010-08-13) Extremly homelike! We spent 2 nights in Singapore and the hosts, Jenny and Daniel, helped us with every little question, organised trips for us and made us feel very, very comfortable and safe. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the most pleasant stay during our 2 months trip through south-east-asia, because of the truly warmhearted nature of Jenny and Daniel. Another word to the accommodation itself: very clean, cheap for Singapore and located close to a huge shopping-mall, little india, and the metro stations (farer park and lavender). Only one critical point: Our room was extremely small but that was acceptable for 2 nights. So to put it all in a nutshell: I would clearly stay there again, again, and again. — Stefan & Daniel , German (2010-07-18) Great stay Lovely hosts, Jenny and Daniel -- couldn't have been more helpful! They work so hard so please appreciate it! The hostel is clean and very well located. Our double room had lockable wardrobe and aircon -- bliss -- and was near to the toilet and shower facilities. Free wi-fi was fab too. highlight was durian party on the last night, even though I must say I wasn't a fan of the fruit, it was great to be a part of such a fun and welcoming place. Thanks Jenny and Daniel, all the best! — Erin and Gavin , British (2010-07-16) Home away from home I spent 4 nights at travellers inn, i was supposed to be in singapore just for a day but thanks to the tips from jenny and daniel i just had a great time and stayed 3 extra nights. It's a clean and really nice and familiar place, free breakfast and wifi, 5 minutes away from the MRT, with a great place to eat for almost no money just across the street. But the best of this hostels are definitely the owners: Jenny and Daniel. I would greatly recommend travelers who are backpacking (and for those who don't plan to, you might want to change plans!) to stay at this hostel because it meets all the criteria a traveler looks for. It is CLEAN (bathrooms are spanking clean!), has GOOD LOCATION (close to the MRT station and you will never go hungry!), nice BEDSHEETS (they are polka-dotted!), free BREAKFAST, free WI-FI, great chill-out areas (the balcony), and most importantly, HEARTWARMING OWNERS. I really admire the fact that the hostel is run by only Daniel and Jenny and Jenny practically does all the cleaning. She mentioned that she wants to maintain the hostel as if it were her own home. The location is quite ideal, relatively close to the train station and the mall. And just right across their inn is an excellent line of 24 hour fast food eateries. And the place is excellently clean! As for the staff, I love the couple. Both Ms. Jenny and Mr. Daniel are very chatty and friendly and their hospitality is very very generous. They would take the extra mile just to please their guests. (People, please don't abuse them. They can only take so much.) I dont call this place a hostel but a HOTEL! This place is a really nice!! Clean, Safe, Helpful and the staff is amazing friendly! They wanna help you with everything! First and foremost, the host Danielle and Jenny are wonderful! They make you feel like family! They're very accommodating, pleasant, easy to converse with, and could share wisdom with you once in a while. Hostel vicinity is also nice. Everything is within walking distance. A little walk is good exercise nonetheless. Hostel security is also tight. they have 24 hour security setup. makes you feel safe. they don't allow unregistered people in so your stuffs are safe and secure. Rooms and other facilities are really clean. They are being cleaned daily. Spotlessly clean. very nice. All in all, the descriptions they provide is accurate. Bottom line, I highly highly recommend people this hostel. You'll love it! WCs and shower areas are also very clean! Water heaters are available which is a real plus. FREE breakfast! Travellers Inn is very safe, and accessible either from Lavender or Farrer Park MRT station. Right across the street are local food stalls that are perfect for those coming home from a night out in the town, with convenient stores just around the corner. It's a stone's throw away from Jalan Besar Stadium, which features a swimming pool that outsiders can use to workout in for a minimal fee. Owners Daniel and Jenny are wonderful people, very hands on with the management of the hostel. They make sure they get to know their guests and give them the best stay possible.
