The Hostelz.com Review
The hostel is a bit of a walk (3.5 km) from the center of the city. From the center, the best way to get there is to take bus 21 towards Kastanjegarden; get off at the "Vandrarhem" stop and follow the signs.

The hostel is clean and professional, and run by a friendly staff. The rooms are comfy, with chairs and a table, and clean beds with neatly folded blankets. The common room is bright and airy, with a well organized kitchen, a spacious dining area, and a fine sitting area. The hostel is next to a busy road but the sound from the road is not too loud; so sleeping shouldn't be a problem.

The atmosphere is quiet. The hostel has a breakfast buffet that costs extra and is in a different room from the common room, so residents are split up in the morning. There were few people around to socialize with (presumably because I was there on a calm day).

Really poor hostel, near a highway so I didn't get much sleep that night. Doors are pretty noisy. Staff wasn't that friendly and for your money you get a really poor experience. My advice to you is skipping this hostel and continue your way into Sweden or Copenhagen. For the Dutch: kankerhostel.

Our family of five stayed here two nights in June and found this hostel to be very nice. The shared kitchen is very clean and useful. The hostel is far by bus but if you have a eurorail ticket then the bus is free just show your eurorail ticket to the bus driver and you can ride for free! This saved us a lot of money! The breakfast was very nice here and the showers and bathrooms were great too. Everything was clean and comfortable. They need some curtains though in the rooms! Great value and nice surroundings. I would return!

I thought that this hostel was very far from the city center (from the central station to the hostel with bus #2, it took more than 30 minutes). The beds are comfortable and the place is clean, and the staff are cool. When I went there, there was NOBODY to socialize with, so I was a little bit sad. But anyway, Malmö is a beautiful city to visit.

This is a very good place to sleep for a Malmo excursion. It's very clean, comfortable and full of guides. It's just ten minutes by bus to the center of Malmo. I don't think it's the best place to socialize (even if I was lucky and I met lots of cool people here), but perhaps there isn't a best place to do that in Malmo.
