The Hostelz.com Review
We stayed at Hostel Mister Mido for one night and would never stay there again. The staff are rude and hardly speak any English. You have to pay for sheets/linen, but you are not informed when you book! The only selling point for this hostel is the price you pay.
The Location
The directions they give you when you book are perfect. The location isn't great. You have to get the tram or bus to go anywhere.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The rooms are pretty small for how many beds there are (we stayed in a ten-bed). There's hardly any rooms for your bags, there are no lockers, and you can't lock the bedroom door. At night it gets pretty hot in the rooms. The bathrooms are a good size but there are only two showers and the toilets are in the shower room, so if people are showering you have to wait to go to the bathroom. And only two showers per thirty people definitely is not enough.
Common Spaces
There are no common spaces. There is free Wi-Fi but it doesn't work in the rooms so you have to sit right there in the lobby to get online. There is a kitchen but they act funny when you ask to use it. The family who owns the hostel lives there, so they act like it's only for them to use. There is a fridge for you to keep your food in and a microwave to use. And the grocery store is right around the corner. There is no breakfast.
Summary
This is definitely neither a friendly hostel nor a place we would go to again. There is a sketchy feeling there. We did meet some nice people there, who weren't sketchy at all, but we all felt the same about the place. There really aren't any positive reasons to stay there.
