Description

Ammarnäs is situated in the middle of Vindelfjällen, Europes biggest nature reserve. The fishing is of worldclass as is trecking. The Kings Trail is passing Ammarnäs and yoy have different trails to choose.
The mountain riding, hunting, nature- and birdlife is famouse as is the snowmobile and skiing in winter and not least the nothern light.
This is Lappish country and the village in the end of the road is the most genuine Lappish mountain village in Scandinavia with its living lappish and reindeer culture. Take part of their work with the reindeers and visit the famous Potaoeshill near the arctic cirkel.
You will also find peace and tranquility in this beautiful Village.
'The hostel can use the facilities of Ammarnäsgården, a mountain resort,
which is situated close to the hostel.

Go to Umeå or Vännäs by train and then by bus to Ammarnäs. • In summer you may go by train with Inlandsbanan to Sorsele and then directly by bus to Ammarnäs • By car: Take E4 to Umeå or E 45 to Sorsele. Then take the road 363 to this lovely mountainvillage in the end of the road.
