Location
• From the bus or train station, take bus number 3 and drop off at Gran Via (the main street of Granada showed in all guidebooks). Cross the street. Take bus number 7 to the MIRADOR DE SAN CRISTOBAL (one of the most famous viewpoints of Granada). From the number 7 bus, you find yourself on a winding road and see a gorgeous view of the whole city on your right. This is when you press the button and get off at the next stop - the Mirador de San Cristóbal. • From the bus stop at the Mirador de San Cristóbal, face the view and walk forward about 10 meters (or about 30 feet). In the left corner of the small plaza, there is a narrow, steep hill (aproach the corner of the plaza or you won't see it). Walk down this hill(about a 1 min walk - we are almost directly below the Mirador de San Cristóbal). Take a right at the bottom of the hill. The Bumblebee is the SECOND DOOR ON THE RIGHT, NUMBER 27. WE HAVE NO SIGN ON THE DOOR, SO KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN FOR US!! • You may also choose to take a taxi, since they are very cheap in Granada. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Mirador de San Cristóbal and follow the walking directions. • If you are arriving by car, take Avenida Andalucia which becomes Avenida de la Constitucion and follow the signs to Albaizyn and Sacromonte. At Parque Fuente Nueva, turn left onto Avenida de Madrid. When you reach Plaza San Isidro, turn slightly to the right onto Avenida de Murcia (you will pass the Alhambra brewery). Avenida de Murcia becomes Carretera de Murcia. After a few winding turns, you'll reach the Mirador de San Cristóbal. Park here and follow the walking directions.

The Hostelz.com Review
THIS HOSTEL IS CURRENTLY CLOSED.
Unfortunately, the staff at the Bumblebee Granada wants to communicate to you that it is closing shop for the time being in order to rethink its business model. Therefore we are no longer offering beds for guests.

The view is great. It is a hike up a hill and not convenient to local happenings. The staff were a little stand-offish and not friendly, as other posters have mentioned. Also, there was rarely any hot water, which made showering very unpleasant. We were there during the winter and froze in the rooms.

Sarah and Rodriguez know Granada very well and are very happy to give maps, directions, and sugestions. The bar-b-q is often fired up at night and guests are welcomed to the table. Being at the Bumblebee felt more like staying with friends than being with staff. After weeks of travelling alone, this was a refreshing and affordable surprise. Hello from freezing Canada to Sarah and Rodriguez (-37 with the wind chill today).
