The Hostelz.com Review
This hostel has a great location on Argyle Street with the subway only about a minute away. It is a little tricky to find as the entrance is not actually on Argyle Street, but on the right side of the building. It will be the first doorway and is quite easy to walk right past as it is small and has no markings.

The owners are a very nice husband and wife from Vietnam. They know virtually no English, but do speak French. They were very helpful and the language was not really a barrier.

When we were there we did not meet any other foreigners and we got the feeling that not many stay there. You will not find brochures for all the tourist traps and there will not be a keg party on Saturday nights but if you are looking for a clean and quiet place to stay, the Dragon Hostel is a good choice.

Affordable and best in Mongkok and Hong Kong
The best hostel we every stayed. Room and toilet is clean daily, sheets and comforter are change every few days, have free local calls, have hot and cold drinking water, provides shampoo, body shampoo and toilet roll, hot showers, very clean toilet and just the right size as i am quite a big-sized girl and have TV in own room even though its a hostel! Safe and affordable place for three girl travelers like us, and we stayed there for five nights. Hostel is run by family members, Stanley, his father, and his staff are very helpful. Located just opposite ladies' market, nearby langham mall, esprit shop, fa yuen street, the best porridge, andhuge yau char kwai just a few shops away, nearby McDonald and seven-eleven, has tasty beef ball stick just below the hostel, tim-sum, pau and steamboat shops. Highly recommended.

Clean, airy, friendly, terrific location!
the five of us were really glad to find a hostel that could cram all of us in one room and we were really lucky to find such a gem of a hostel. the room is minuscule but it was en-suite and it's a small price for such excellent service and location. It was heavenly to come back to a clean room with well made beds after a long day around hong kong. Two thumbs up!

Excellent. Very friendly, helpful staff. Room spotless with good AC. Communal kitchen area with fridge, microwave, hot/cold drinking water. Would highly recommend Dragon Hostel if you want somewhere cheap and central to stay.

Dragon hostel isnt much of a hostel, but makes a nice tiny little hotel. I didnt see a kitchen or a common room worth hanging out in, but the hotel itself is very clean, the rooms are tiny but well appointed, and the bathrooms function as they should. My room was cleaned every day and the bathroom was as well. Though this hotel is ever so slightly difficult to find, the directions they give are spot on, and the location is unbeatable. Virtually across the street from the Ladies market and the pedestrian mall, short walk to the night market, one block from Nathan road and maybe a thirty-minute walk to the waterfront. I would stay here again and would suggest it to other travelers.

Dragon hostel is very nice to stay, very near to all shopping and sightseeing area in Kowloon, Hong Kong. street markets, MTR is very near -- I think less than five minutes' walking distance. And you have also a friendly staff like Roque, who is very helpful to us about the routes of buses and MTR and he knows to speak tagalog. This place is everything you would need if on a budget holiday. Our family room is small but it's clean (We are five adults, one child). If you are planning for a cheap vacation, this is a right place for you.

Location is excellent, with convenient transportation. The service is nice. The only drawback is that the room is too small, compared to other hostels that I have stayed in Berlin, Amsterdam, Munich, and Paris. Prices there are a little higher but they can offer the guests larger rooms.

We (family of four) live in Guangzhou and always stay with ever-helpful and smiling Stanley and his family at Dragon Hostel. It is a very good location with the A21 bus from the Airport and the MTR just a few minutes walk away. Plenty of excellent shopping nearby with the Ladies mkt and Electronics mkt just across the street. Langham Place has a good food court across Nathan Road down Argyle St. CTS office is five minutes walk away too. Rooms are very clean and small, but that's what you get in HK hostels. The elevator is fine. There is no way anyone could ever call this place dirty. There is a small communal area in each section and a main one at reception.

this place is everything you would need if on a budget holiday. The rooms although small are clean. Our room didn't have a window but the air conditioning is really good. Perfect location not far from the MTR station which is very cheap to get around. It's not hard to find if you print off the directions map before you go. Stanley the owner was nice and his son can speak good English and will help you. If you can ask for room 2A we were in it for one night as our air conditioning was getting serviced. 2a is quite big; it's meant for a family but has a window which looks straight out onto Argyle Street and you get excellent views. A++++++++++++ go and book now!

I have just arrived home from Hong Kong where we stayed at this hostel. The other posts are right, its not the easiest to find, the trick is to go to either side of the building through a set of unmarked doors to the elevator lobbies. The rooms, although small, were spotless, the sheets very clean and the location excellent. If you have WiFi, there is an open point called SINCERE, which works from the 10th floor rooms but not the eighth. The owners don't speak much english, but that was okay, they were very helpful and friendly! She will say "sorry" alot. I kept trying to get the point across that she had nothing to apologize for, for it was I that needed to apologize for not knowing her language! Oh well! The rates for a two BR w/ private bath were $250 HKD. We had a great time in HK and and will not hesitate to stay here next time. Incidenatlly, this was our first time at a hostel, and I'm impressed!

It seems to be a good hostel, although I didn't go due to the change of my travel plan. The staff are nice to reply my e-mail quite quickly. I want to try if I visit Hong Kong next time.

Wow. What a great location and amazing service. The city is thriving. It was too good to stay inside. At least the place is clean and friendly when you do!

This place was the teeniest hostel in the world. It has two rooms the size of a shoebox with no windows — a claustrophobic's nightmare! But hey, it's Hong Kong! This hostel is really hard to find, though. I was despairing until someone stopped to help me find it. Even then it's a struggle up a high-rise, with no signs and a whole lot of luggage!

The area where this hostel is located is extremely crowded, but the hostel itself is clean, quiet, and cozy. If you want luxury, go to a western-style hotel on Hong Kong Island; if you want fair/cheap prices and you want to experience working class Hong Kong, come here.
