The Hostelz.com Review
A standard HI hostel situated in 2 buildings in the old town. As the town survives on tourists, it may be good to make a reservation in summer. Rooms and bathrooms are clean, and dorms are single-sex. Breakfast is included and quite good (snag some stuff for lunch). The owners are serviceable but can be harried. There are common rooms, though no one used them while we stayed there. There is all-night access with a passcode. The beds are decent and there are pay-lockers in the rooms. There is internet access in the main building.
As this is an HI hostel, a surplus of school kids is the norm. The biggest downside is the walk from the train station (20 minutes, though half is to get to the old town). Not really a place to hang out inside although there are plenty of benches and gardens outside. Bottled beer is sold at reception. In sum, aside from the kids, this is a great place to stay while seeing the town.

Our family of five stayed here during the festival of the mayor and it was a wonderful place to stay -- clean and comfortable. You sleep in dorms which are separated according to sex. They are not huge dorms though which makes it nicer. The bathrooms were very nice too -- lots of hot water, clean, and roomy. There also was a good breakfast included with our stay. Altogether it was a nice place and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. — Eurotraveller (2006-07-02)

I stayed here for two nights. It's very clean, and has friendly people and staff. The location was far enough away from the city center to be quiet, but close enough to easily walk to all the excitement. Highly recommended. — David (2004-09-04)

Really good breakfast. The rooms are clean and the location is good. The only bad thing is that a big group of school-children were there at the same time as us. If you don't want to listen to 12 year-old girls screaming, then maybe you should look elsewhere. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay. — Kristen (2004-08-16)

Great hostel! It is located at the edge of the old town and it is very quiet. Everyone was really friendly and there is a huge breakfast included. They have a book trade, too. Although the showers were super clean, if you can upgrade to a private shower in your own room it is totally worth it. The hostel is highly recommended! — TB (2004-08-16)

This hostel was something I was a bit worried about because I could find no one else who had rated it, but it was actually really wonderful. It was by far the cleanest place we've stayed. Spotless, really. It's a nice location, very quiet in the rooms, the showers are perfect and very, very, very warm. It was truly wonderful. Don't hesitate to come! — Zack (2004-06-12)
