Gecko Bushpackers

This is a great place, and Francis and Edwin will do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable. It has great rooms, which are very spacious. From there you can take nice walks to the Sabi River and at the right time of year the lichees are delicious. If I had the money I'd come here every year!!!

Hi, there! We were visiting Hazyview in November 2003, and had a great time at the Gecko Bushpackers while having the most unbelievably bad luck. We (as tourists) were easy targets for theft, and other than having car trouble on the highway back to Pretoria we had to deal with corrupt car rental outfits. The owner of the Gecko Bushpackers helped us a great deal, and we will never forget the experience. The place is situated in a beautiful location, and is well looked after. It's definitely worth a visit!

Our stay here was indeed great and UNFORGETTABLY GOOD. I will visit again for sure, thanks Francis and Edwin. Keep up the good work.

When we came here, we got into trouble the second day. The owners of this hostel were very kind and helped us a lot!! We were allowed to stay for another night, and were allowed to use their phone (we had to call our home country, which is not South Africa) and they gave us really good advice. The hostel also has a great view, the showers and toilets are clean, and the splash pool will cool you down! It doesn't matter if you come here on your own, because there are always people around the bar! Check it out!!
