Really beautiful hostel! Highly recommended We had a great time here. The hostel is incredibly beautiful, a colonial mansion with a gorgeous garden and veranda, beautiful tiles and historic details, art, high ceilings, the common spaces are incredible. Unlike the common spaces, our room was extremely basic, it was a tiny space, barely larger than the double bed, with a bathroom en-suite but no door to separate the bathroom from bedroom. The only real negative was almost no water came out of the bathroom faucet, we had to use the shower to brush our teeth. That didn't really take away from our enjoyment though, we really had a nice time relaxing in the beautiful and ample common spaces, which have free Wi-Fi internet. The location is also excellent, on Av. Arequipa near the center of Miraflores and the park. Beautiful walking all around, lots of great restaurants, movies, everything nearby. The staff of the hostel was super friendly and (since I love dogs) I really enjoyed Kahlua's company. — Eliza , USA (2010-03-14) By the end, we didn't want to leave! I stayed here with a friend in October 2005 for about nine days. It was probably our most unique and enjoyable hostel stay. While it wasn't without its problems, we grew to love it! We stayed in a private room with en-suite, however the en-suite had no door. once we got over the initial shock and developed a system, we were all set. The room was tiny and very basic, but during the course of our stay they slowly improved it -- adding a mirror to the bathroom, bringing in a beautiful antique table. The free breakfast is fruit juice and a bread roll with jam, simple but a good start. It's located in Miraflores, which is a great area with loads to do, close to a supermarket and Larco Mar (entertainment centre). It was very safe and we never had problems walking around at night. The staff are friendly and helpful, there's free internet, and the place has a very laidback vibe -- it's great! — Anonymous , Australia (2008-04-23) This place is an oasis within Lima, in a safe neighborhood located near lots of (safe) bars and restaurants, with great rooms, facilities and staff.
