The White Ferry House delivers on what it promises and it is a bargain. It is clean and easy to get to and has friendly staff and great showers.
The Location
It's located about a seven-minute walk from the Victoria Bus Station -- easy to find and easy access to/from the airports (buses go directly to Victoria Bus Station) and it is also within walking distance of two metro stations. The only negative on this front is that except for the pub downstairs, there is not much in the way of nightlife in the area.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The dorms are very clean and the beds are really comfortable! You can enjoy a very good night's sleep here. The dorms are quite safe, with a PIN needed to get into hostel at all hours and a separate PIN for the room.
The showers are also very clean and heated, and the hot water is instant and never seems to run out. They are also quite large and comfortable, with hooks to put your clothes. Only negative is sometimes it gets busy and there is a small line waiting to use the shower.
Common Spaces
Common spaces are slightly limited but adequate -- there is a pub downstairs with a pool table and flat screen TVs to watch sports. The morning time during the free breakfast is the best time to meet other travelers, as you may sit down to enjoy breakfast with them. This hostel has the possibility of being very lively and fun or subdued. Thankfully none of the noise from the pub travels up to the dorms, as the dorms are on the other side of the building.
Summary
In terms of comfort and location, this place is ideal. You are likely to leave with a grin on your face.

Poor wi-fi, poor showers, not much space to socialize Wi-fi is so intermittent as to be unusable. Showers are either freezing cold or boiling hot; the plumbing needs reinstallation so it can cope with 40 guests. The 3 tier bunks need securing to the walls so they don't rock wildly when people climb in. There were precisely 2 electrical outlets in a room for 12 people. The kitchen needs to be better equipped with plates, cups, teaspoons.
