Brisbane City Backpackers is a good place to meet people and enjoy Brisbane with quite cheap accommodation. There are different dorms with different prices if you stay longer.
The Location
It is not far from Transit Centre Station, just turn right on Roma Street and just follow the green signs for the YHA. It's fifteen minutes' walk to the city centre.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The dorms can be crowded and there is not much space for luggage. There is no locker but you can leave bags at the reception for safety. The bathrooms are unisex and a bit small, a bench or shelf would be useful. But it is all clean.
Common Spaces
The kitchen is quite big and clean. You need to give a deposit for a plate, mug, knife, fork. The terrace can enlarge the dining area in summer or good weather. Four PCs are available with free internet, and there is Wi-Fi if you have your own computer, but it doesn't work in the dorms. There is a swimming pool on the roof with a window on the bar, which is just beneath. You can order some food as well. The evenings are quite busy on this level with the bar, the music, and the pool games.
