The Hostelz.com Review
The hostel has a very good location, right next to Burgher's Park. It is just a few minutes walk from the bus and train station, and about a 20 minute walk from Church square in the centre of Pretoria. The hostel can do pick-ups from Johannesburg airport.
The dorm rooms are clean and colourful. They have both bunkbeds and single beds. There are useful under-bed lockers, and for the winters, there are heaters in the dorms.
There is a travel information point, however it is not well-staffed and it can be virtually impossible to find out what there is to do in Pretoria and the surrounding area there, especially since the most of the staff do not speak good English.
There is a large bar area, which also serves good, cheap food, and has a TV. In winter season, the hostel can be very empty so not much good for meeting fellow travellers, but fine if you want some quiet time.
