Here at Vallarta Sun Hostel, we are a hostel two blocks from Playa de los Muertos. We are run by world travelers Kathy and Ricardo. We have plenty of homely touches like the ping-pong table, free wi-fi and in-house laundry service (M$50 per load) supplement nice clean six-bed dorms, each with its own bathroom and spacious locker facilities.'

At Vallarta Sun Hostel there is no need to spend on buses or taxis, everything is within walking distance, just around the corner you will find: restaurants, coffee shops, bars, discos, grocery stores, the pier (water taxis to Yelapa, etc), just grab your towel and hit the beach!
Our hostel is clean, safe, secure, trustworthy, fun and cheap! Run by a Mexican couple, backpackers like you!
*This is not a party hostel but if you are looking for fun and night life you have it just around the corner but at the same time you know that here you can come to relax and have a nice night sleep.
We are located in the heart of the romantic zone (old town), in a residential and safe area `without all the traffic noise from the streets or the highway.
Facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, purified water to drink, dining room, cosy lounge area, wi-fi internet access, a luggage storage facility, personal lockers, cable TV, hammocks, table tennis, darts board, a library, etc.
*Here everybody is welcome no matter age, gender, etc, etc, Come and meet travellers from all over the world in a home environment.

The hostel is clean, spacious and with all the usual facilities. It's location is perfect for the beach and all the night life. Many regulars return here each year- I met 2 from last year in my 2 day stay.

I liked it a lot and the staff were really friendly and helpful. As an older woman I liked that it was somewhat mixed in ages. One odd thing was that in the photo "album" online it showed people in a pool but we weren't allowed to use the pool of the attached hotel so that was a bit misleading.

I appreciate that I can step out the front door & see the sun set on the ocean, even if I don't want to walk the 1 1/2 blocks & sit on the sand. The Hostel is very large, very open, beautiful murals on the walls, a TV viewing area designed like an open-air room with thatched roof. Kitchen has a large, restaurant-style frig., plenty of counter-room, etc. Staff cleans the whole facility in the morning, again in afternoon, & again in the evening. And, add to that, the owners & staff are very warm, welcoming, & helpful. I will definitely stay there again! Sally Wright. CA, USA

Staff were fantastic and the location was great. Really nice common area and loved having the use of a pool as it is sweltering hot in Puerto Vallarta at the moment... Great hostel - would definitely stay again!

everything! one of the best hostels i've ever stayed in...it's so close to the beach, the bars and so many tasty places to eat! and the kitchen is HUGE! plus kathy and ricardo are fantastic hosts! i met so many great new friends and definitely will be going back to stay here!

Brilliant Stayed at another hostel before here and wish I had come straight here!!! Was lovely. Ricardo is so friendly, as is his sister (sorry, can't remember her name!). They also run the hostel in Sayulita which is where I went afterwards and is again really great.
