Noisiest place I ever stayed -- planes roaring, freeways roaring. Vile third world single room and bathroom. Continental breakfast was up to sh*t -- bread from a bag, no marge, no jam, no cereal, no fruit, cheap instant coffee, grubby breakfast table, vile mugs, no clean plates. Management surly. Why give them your $$$? No ways. Avoid at all costs.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. We checked in and everything looked okay. There was a pool, a bar, and a nice living room. In the evening we decided to sit at the bar. All at once a whole group of people drunk and high came to the bar. It was the owner and his friends! Feeling unsafe we decided to lock ourselves up in our bedroom. All night long the owner kept on screaming in the hallway. The next morning we heard from a fellow traveler that one of the girls had been groped by the owner. Furthermore he asked her for sex. At that point we decided it was definitely time for us to leave. I wouldn't even advise this place to my worst enemy.

This was my strangest hostel experience in South Africa. They have tons of rules ("ask the staff" if you want to exchange a book, change the TV channel, take a shower, etc.), but in the two days that I stayed there I only saw staff members twice (shuttles from and to the airport). It was clean and nice, and the other travellers were friendly but just as perplexed as I was about the arrangements.
