Rockey's of Fourways Backpackers

When I was on holiday from the UK about two and a half years ago, this place was recommended to me, as my mates were off somewhere and not getting back before my plane took off a few days later. I stayed here for three days, and have never felt more comfortable in a hostel in my life. Take it from me, someone who has lived in hostels in Israel, London, Bangkok, New York and all over the UK, this is one amazing little place! I now have a home out here in South Africa or I would be living at this hostel full time! Remember me, Colleen?

This was my first introduction to hostel life in South Africa. I was picked up by Evan, and felt welcome from there on in. Colleen was an amazing help for planning the rest of my trip. I returned for a few hours later on just to say hello. If you want a safe, happy entry into South Africa, this is the place to start.

I like this hostel a lot. It's a long way from the city, but it's friendly and safe, and they'll pick you up at the airport or wherever.

This hostel is very good. It is chilled and in a good location. I especially like the hammocks around the pool. I would definitely return. Really friendly staff who make you feel at home.
