We recently returned from a trip to Alaska and decided to stay at this lodge after spending a night at a campground in four-degree weather. We stayed in the bunkhouse ($15 per person), which had four double bunks and an excellent heater. The showers were warm and free. There is a sauna and hot tub as well, at $10 per person per half hour, that we did not partake in. The staff are excellent, the bunkhouse is wonderful, and the breakfast the next morning (pancakes) was to die for. The lodge is in a beautiful setting. We would definitely stay here again.

The Sheep Mountain Lodge & Hostel is made up of a number of small log cabin lodges and a log restaurant. Most of the cabins are rented out to at regular prices, but one or two are reserved for hostellers. The one I was in had 3 sturdy bunk beds in it. I had two roommates. The cabin was clean and warm. The restaurant was fantastic! Nothing like sitting down to a good meal after driving all day. The hostel also had a great view of the mountains (of course!).
