Description
***2011 IS THE WADA YEAR! ****Great news guys! It is published and now it is official. Wada is now #1 on Lonely Planet.
We’re giving a big boot up winter’s fat arse this year. This year’s winter and the rest coming are not going to keep us from having fun! No way, no how! We’re going to start off and say that winter can suck it as we’re bringing our ever so popular All-You-Can-Eat BBQ Fridays over to the cold front because you guys asked for it! On Tuesdays, we have our free dumpling making party! We’ve also installed new heating and electric blankets in all the rooms! These are just a few of the things we're doing to help fight against those chilly days.
Let us not forget to mention that we have..
Free laundry for your dirty underwear
A team that knows everything there is to know about everything that is Guilin and China
who speak English very good..I mean WELL!
Low-cost, budget tours to the famous Longji Rice Terraces and Li River Cruse to Yangshuo
Dividing toilets and showers to prevent wet bums
An awesome restaurant and bar with some spicy bartenders
A billion (legal *ahem) movies to snuggle under a blanket with
A pool table, Nintendo Wii, karaoke
A big cuddly golden retriever
the list goes on..
Don’t take your chances on the phoney baloney hostels. We've been honoured with the title of 'most favourite hostel' in Guilin by the Lonely Planet Guide. So come to Wada and let us warm you up with our food, our blankets, our smiles, and our hearts. =)
Happy Travels,
Wada

Close to airport shuttle bus, very helpful staff, close to big shopping center - in my opinion its better than city center because its not so interesting.

The location is nice, not too close to the center (too many tourists there), you can enjoy more some real chinese streets. Don't miss the ice-cream seller !
The staff was very helpful.

Cheapest I've stayed in, but offered no less than anyother. Staff spoke really good English. Excellent directions to the hostel, even though initially signs are in Chinese, it was still no problem.

This hostel was a pleasure to stay at. The room was large and clean, and the building well maintained and welcoming. The staff are very knowledgable and eager to help out guests. The big dog, simba, was a perk to our night.
The bar inside of the hostel is very reasonable and there are some great activities open to guests (pool table, wii, DVDs, board games)
It was a pleasure.

We had a twin double room and it was very spacious. The bathroom was okay-sized and everything was clean.
Also, the staff was very friendly and helped us with writing down addresses in Chinese and even calling us when we were out late to check if we were alright.

The staff are super helpful, arranging trips and writing things in chinese for you and giving general honest advice about what to see and do around the city. the location is perfect if you are arriving late from a train/bus journey:24hr reception and only 2mins taxi from the station (about 10-15mins walk with luggage).

Everything. The ladies behind the counter will go to great lengths to make sure you are not only comfortable but having a great time in Guilin. I booked 2 nights and ended up having to stay 5 because of banking problems. They not only understood this, but offered to allow me to pay later if need be, showed me where I could find banks at, and so much more. I was traveling for two weeks across the South of China, and because of the staff at Wada it was the best hostel, city, and stop for me.
