Description

The waterfront area is just 100 metres away and the beach is less then 10 minutes walk. Nice and peaceful, with a friendly atmosphere, it is your home away from home. Run by a traveller who will give you all the info you need about Croatia and other surrounding countries.

The hostel is small, but there is a possibility for accommodation in the family house in front of the hostel (22 people can sleep in the rooms and apartments).

Location	Important: Please print, read and follow these directions. Do not confuse Hostel and Hotel Makarska. If you ask local people, they often do not know the name of the streets (we orientate by buildings, restaurants or cafe bars). Hostel is located behind the restaurant Riva and summer cinema - Croatian word for cinema is Kino. Walking: From the Bus station it is only 2 minutes walk. Go left on the main road (Bus station is behind you). Walk for about 200 meters and take the second street on the right. It is JADRANSKA ulica (street). Walk down the street for about 60 meters and turn left (just before the big parking lot). The big white house 20 meters from that intersection is Hostel Makarska (No15). Enter inside the green fence - dormitory and social area are behind the house. By car: When you are about to arrive to a BUS station you will have to turn right leaving the station behind you. On the left side of the street you'll see the Tommy supermarket. Just before Tommy, turn left and drive straight ahead. On the next intersection drive straight ahead (on your left side you'll be passing by a police station). Keep going straight on the next intersection as well and you will be in front of the hostel Makarska.

The owners are very friendly, the house is very well located (close to the beaches, port, restaurants, supermarkets) and relatively quiet. Our room (double en-suite) had a big, nice balcony and was equipped with a small refridgerator, air-condition and SAT TV.
