The Hostelz.com Review
Next Hostel is a wonderful hostel in a conveniently central but sleazy location. If you are a woman traveling alone, you might feel a bit uncomfortable coming and going at night among all the drug dealers and prostitutes, but once inside, this is the perfect hostel, and it's not too far of a walk to some safer and even posh areas.
Location
The metro station is also just a few blocks away, and the neighborhood, which you will likely be walking through no matter where you stay, is much friendlier by day. The entrance is very secure. You need to ring a bell to get in, then go up the elevator and ring another bell to be let in personally by the receptionist.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The dorm rooms are a little cramped, but sunny, and there are lockers in some rooms for your things. And the beds are remarkably comfortable. The bathrooms are beautiful, with tile enclosed bathtubs and showers and plenty of room.
Common Spaces
There are two common area lounges right next to each other. One of them houses the reception desk with a twenty-four-hour receptionist (sometimes dozing behind the desk), comfy couches, TV, a computer for internet, and free Wi-Fi. There are two kitchens -- one for eating the free breakfast, and the other for preparing your meals and chatting with other guests.

The atmosphere is friendly, and it's a comfortable place to hang out. They can also sell you water and drinks. All in all, staying here is a a very pleasant experience.
