It was just a really nice place. Everything you want from a hostel, really friendly staff some of the best communal areas I've experienced (not huge, but cosy!). There isn't an abundance of bathrooms, but that didn't worry me. We originally booked one night, but stayed for an extra night because it was just such a good place to be and it's such good value!

Duo was in a perfect location and it has a amazing staff that is second to none. The owner of the property makes sure that guest there truly feel welcome and the staff is always willing to answer questions and be helpful. The guest living in the hostel are also great with a nice mix of ambitious and friendly monthly guest and a diverse group of short-term visitors.
I would recommend Duo Hostels to any person who wanted a good place to stay out for a great deal.

I think that this hostel was more of a place were people lived, not a place to met other people that are travelling. The two men staff members were really nice but the lady was a horrible person!! We were there for 4 nights and in that time the bathroom was not cleaned once, it was very dirty. It had not lock of your doors so that your stuff was not safe and people from other rooms just walked in because it was a shared bathroom between two rooms, but the bathroom only had accse through one room. I would not recommened this hostel to other people that are travelling.

Good location, which also happened to be on a main road, if you get a room that isn't facing the street then you will also have an easy nights rest, but the hostel itself is quite spacious and clean. Only stayed a night so can't say too much about the social character.

The location can't be beat, and it is safe and secure. I also liked the plasma TV in the common room.

i liked that the hostel was almost downtown. what i didnt like is that the stuff doesn't know anything about the location or the city. in their broken english they tried to explain me that the dont know where the tourist office is, the dont have maps or anything at the hostel, it is not signed. as I arrived they put me into a room, 4 hours later I had to change the room because they made a mistake, then i was in the middle room, everyone is walking through the whole time, my bed wasnt ready eventhough they knew what time i will arrive and we have to leave on time...

A veritable UN, if not by nationality, then by personality. As elders who could have been fathers or grandfathers to the rest of the house, we found family, warmth, inclusion and sharing daily. After memorials for our heroes, a large public demonstration, hours of speeches by notables, and visits to legislative offices, what we will remember and miss are the friends, the voices, the laughter we found here. Not bad for first-time hostelers and we owe it all to the staff and our "kids" in the house.

The resident assistants were great! However, they have a no shoe rule in the house. Guests ought prepare for some serious athletes' foot. The storage lockers were not those shown on the pictures, but instead less secure dressers with cheap hooks afixed to put a lock through.
