Lovely big rooms with comfortable beds and thick blankets. Really lovely atmosphere and beautiful rooms and stairs. Loved the TV/Games room and couches. Good place for meeting fellow travellers. Staff were lovely and really helpful.

Ace York is absolutely beautiful and very easy to get to, even on a first trip to York. The room was spotless when I moved in, the breakfast was much more than just toast and the beds were very comfortable. Apparently there are nightly movie screenings.

The cleanliness of bed room was quite good , no any smelly. The linen and sheet was clean and warm. The reception area and recreation area was good , not too noisy as many hostels.

Gorgeous hostel; more like a boutique hotel than hostel. It's ideally located close to sites and train station. Staff was very helpful. Historic 18th century home has placques on all the rooms educating visitors on what type of room each used to be, which was interesting. Best hostel I've stayed in throughout Europe.
