In Makati, so able to walk to nice bits of Manila. Owners and staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. Lovely swimming pool. Overall a really nice place to stay in the chaos of the city.

friendly staff and everything a backpacker needs. staff helps you with information and how to get around in the Philippines. its a bit hard to find the first time you arrive but once you do you'll appreciate the view from the 18th floor. rooms are decent and clean so no negative remarks on that.
I recommend it to all other travelers that visit manila.

Great staff who were very knowledgeable and helpful. The place was very clean and tidy with a computer for free internet access. It was in a safe district of Manila with a shopping mall down the road. Great place to stay and highly recommend it to all my friends.

One of the most unique hostels I have ever stayed in as located in a very nice hotel...and has access to a gym! All this for the price of a hostel! The location in Makati is excellent as it is a safe and more upmarket area than other hostels in Manila. All beds have curtains so you can shut yourself out to the world at night- a welcome escape for weary travellers as is the generous free breakfast. Without a doubt though, the very best thing about this hostel is the staff, all warm and very friendly. The 2 owners walked with us to a restaurant the first night and Ella is absolutely fantastic- she is a fountain of knowledge about what to do in Manila and beyond (she gave advice on what islands to visit during my trip and even made out an itinerary.) She also gave excellent suggestions on what bars and venues to visit for a "real" and not touristic Manila experience. Well worth the price and with the expertise of Ella to help you with planning your time in the capital and which of the 7000 islands to visit during your trip (and subsequent ones!), this should definitely be the first place you visit when you arrive in Manila!

Our Melting Pot is a million times better than any hostel in Malate. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms, clean bathrooms, a nice small kiltchen, lockers in rooms, great location in Makati. There is even a gymn and pool in the building. There is free breakfast also.

I am a almost 60 years young married woman traveling without my husband on this visit to the Philippines. This was my first time alone in Pinas since 1988 when I was still young and daring! I found OMP to be safe yet extremely fun. I met some of the most wonderful folks of all ages and ethnicities with whom I had a great time. The comraderie and friendliness of the staff and other guests was unparalled in my opinion-and this is from a world traveler of many years. I would recommend OMP to anyone of any age who wants a good deal for the cost, a safe and welcoming atmosphere and a lot of pleasurable company.

Great staff and great location, in a nicer area of Manila with a Coffee Bean at the mall next door. Easy place to make your base camp for exploring Manila.

Perfect home away from home, especially in a chaotic city like Manila. It was the tranquillity I needed, incredibly clean, comfortable beds, warm shower, etc. The 'host' was very personal in her approach with each guest. We had 3 girls in an ensuite bunk room so it was perfect and easy to mingle with each other. The common area is rather tight (just imagine the living room of an apartment!) so if space is a concern for you then just retreat to the dorm rooms no dramas. The host also prepares breakfast for every guest, I skipped it because I wasn't hungry, but I must say it's an awfully nice gesture!

Very clean, ridiculously helpful staff. The best provided breakfast I've encountered in the Philippines and very useful curtains to pull shut around your bed.

I felt incredibly secure as this hostel is located in a high rise condo building, looking modern enough to be in NYC. Internet was readily available, caramelized bananas were the ultimate hit, and Ella couldn't have been more helpful and enjoyable. I met friends at this hostel I saw throughout the remainder of my traveling in the Philippines for 3 weeks and even met up with a few at other locations. It's quiet, clean and secure.

Very good atmosphere and staff. The gym and the pool are better than what I expected. Not the cheapest hostel in Manila, but worth the money. Clean and safe.
