We are backpackers that decided to put our backpacks aside and open this brand new Hostel aiming to offer other travelers, in our own town, the same memorable experiences we once had abroad.
Okupe staff will struggle to guarantee you take with you only good memories both from our Hostel and our city with a fair and reasonable price.
We just opened and we count with a freshly refurbished infra structure to make your trip simply unforgettable!
Okupe Hostel is conveniently located less than 5 minutes walking from Vila Mariana Metro Station (same access lines to Mercado Municipal, Sala São Paulo and Old Town) and also around 10 minutes from Ana Rosa Metro Station (same Modern Art Museum and Vila Madalena lines). We are surrounded by many shops, bars and the amazing Ibirapuera Park and Paulista Avenue.
This cozy Hostel is packed with all the amenities you would expect and need, such as: 6 clean, safe, and spacious dorm rooms with free lockers – divided into male, female and mixed ensuite dorms. A large and well equipped guest kitchen where you’ll appreciate the breakfast offered by us, a TV lounge with Wii, Wi-Fi Zone covering all over the hostel and a spacious beautiful backyard. Computers will freely be available for the guests.
Our spacious 24 bunk beds will surely make you feel more comfortable and relaxed. Clean linen is available at the time of your check-in.
To make your trip a memorable experience, we also have a vibrant staff with diverse backgrounds to greet you. They are prepared to give you tips and suggestions of exciting events, pub -crawls, restaurants and night spots in São Paulo."

So easy to get there using the subway...stop at the information desk in the bus terminal with the address for the instructions for the subway and use the instructions on the page to get there when you get off the subway.

The kitchen and the common room are tiny, so if you want to cook here i would reconcider as only 1 person can fit in at once!

The staff were really nice and helpful. One of the receptionists took us on a night out. The rooms were a bit cramped and i thought it was a bit tight that you couldnt even get a coffee after breakfast time.Given that Sao Paolo is bloody expensive the price of this hostel is good.

Very good hostel: clean, safe, good wifi, decent breakfast, and close to the metro. For Sao Paulo standards, its a great value.And a special shout-out to the staff who are all fantastic people as well as incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about Sao Paulo. The city can be a bit confusing but they are able to help you figure it out.

Beds are almost impossible to get on. Every time you move, the entire room shakes and makes noises!! Not mcuh space to put your bag.. Rooms also stank (but looked clean) with no fan to help move the air. Staff were ok, but didnt exactly go out of there way to make anything easier for you... Not bad, but you could probably do a lot better.

The staff of this hostel really made our trip to Sao Paulo for us. They are really friendly and arranged party and BBQ nights which were great for meeting people. The metro is a 5 minute walk away. Hostel was very clean.
