Tkalciceva is a very vibrant and yet relaxed pedestrian street lined with cafe bars, restaurants, art galleries and stores. It is just off the main square (a brisk 2 minute walk from us) and it is only a few minutes walk from the Upper Town (Gornji Grad).

Location	•FROM THE MAIN TRAIN STATION (Glavni Kolodvor): • • When you leave the train station you will be facing the tram station. Take the tram 6 towards Črnomerec or 13 towards Žitnjak. Get off at the main square “Trg bana Josipa Jelačića” (2 stops). When you get off you will be facing the Jelačić’s statue (the man on the horse) and the street that has stairs in the background. Enter that street, don’t go up the stairs but veer left onto Tkalčićeva street (pedestrian street lined with cafe bars, restaurants, art galleries and stores). Follow this street for a few minutes and you will see our hostel on the left side of the street (number 37) across the street from Dizzy's ice-cream and pancake store. • • • • FROM THE MAIN BUS STATION (Autobusni Kolodvor): • • When you leave the bus station, you will be facing the tram station. Can't recommend We stayed at this hostel in October 2011. The establishment misrepresents itself as an apartment, when in reality it is a hostel with shared bathroom facilities and no towels. We had the unfortunate experience of sleeping in a room infested with bedbugs and are still dealing with the consequences several days later.
