Good, not great This is the only real hostel in Hue, so I stayed here out of necessity. The entire ground floor of the place is devoted to a bar serving cheap drinks and western food (actually the entire neighbourhood is marketed to foreign traveler so you have to go further if you want cheap street food or to get away from tourists) which gets quite busy until late at night. Some travelers will enjoy this, but I prefer hostels which are a little more subdued. The rooms are basic and there's only one shower and one bathroom for each dorm, so they get a little busy. Wireless doesn't work properly in the dorms and the whole place can feel a little cramped. The staff on reception were nice enough, but didn't really go out of their way to engage with me or offer any advice which was a shame. I felt like an anonymous customer rather than a guest, which is my standard of great hostels. But the price is good, it's clean and with no other similar places in Hue, it's alright to pitch up at for a night or two. — Simon W , NZ (2011-08-11)
