| Location | •The Maui Sugar Beach Inn is conveniently located 9.5 miles south of the airport (twenty minutes drive), on the south coast of Maui. Many car rental companies are located in the airport. The Inn lies just a few feet from the four mile stretch of tan sand known as Sugar Beach. • Exit the Kahului Airport (This is Dairy Road) follow until you reach Hwy 311 (Mokulele Hwy). You will see a very large Church on the left corner. • Turn Left and follow the highway (about 8 miles) until it dead ends into South Kihei Road. Remember, go past all the lights till you cannot go forward Turn Left and follow 1 mile. • Turn Left on Wailana Place (Mile Marker 1) forward 50 feet or so to 26 Wailana Place. |

A very nice quiet place with garden, pool, and so close to the beach! This is such a nice pretty place with a very nice owner. First of all, it's only about 100 yards from the beach and it's right on the bus line. It's doesn't have many rooms which means it's quiet and not overrun by people coming and going. The grounds are great. There is a garden in the back with swimming pool. There is a thatched common area upstairs too so there are a lot of nice places to hang out. What's really cool is that each "room" (consisting of a bedroom with 1 or 2 beds and a living room with 2 beds) has its own full kitchen! So there are really a max of 4 people per kitchen. It's a little strange that 2 beds are in the living room while the other beds enjoy the privacy of a bedroom with a door and that they all cost the same price, but it is a hostel after all.
