Centro • Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico • TEQUILA SUNSET is located in the heart of downtown Morelia near many exciting attractions; including the beautiful "Jardin de las Rosas" (Garden of Roses), which is surrounded by a great variety of coffee-shops and restaurants. • Directions • FROM AIRPORT: • The best and easiest option for transportation to the hostel is via taxi. The airport is located 30 kilometers outside the city, and on average costs $150 pesos. We are near the corner of Leon Guzman and Santiago Tapia. • We can arrange transportation for you as well. Please contact us in advance, or email us your flight details and estimated arrival time. • FROM BUS STATION: • Again, the best and easiest option is to take a taxi from just outside the bus station. It will cost about $50 pesos to get to TEQUILA SUNSET HOSTEL. We are near the corner of Leon Guzman and Santiago Tapia. Two blocks away from "Jardin de las Rosas" (Garden of Roses). • Walking or driving from downtown Moreila • The Cathedral, located on Madero Avenue is the easiest point of reference, and we are only five blocks east. Ask for the "Mercado de los Dulces" (The Candy Market: great place to buy tasty candies and authentic souvenirs), as we are located two blocks away from The Candy Market and the movie theater on Santiago Tapia.

This was our favorite hostel we've EVER stayed in! The staff were laid back, very friendly and really helpful. This hostel is small and cozy with local artists and musicians in and out showing their work & playing music. The kitchen is beautiful - newish appliances, plenty of pots and pans for cooking your own meals, and there were even a few evenings that the owner's brother cooked amazing food for everyone there! The ambiance is chill with a rooftop patio and an open-air courtyard. Sebastian keeps the place spic and span and will do your laundry for a small fee. The hostel is not only awesome, it's in the perfect spot. 3 blocks from the Jardin de Roses where you can get a great cappucino or cocktail, 5 blocks or so from the Mercado de Dulces where you can get any kind of sweet your heart desires, and maybe 8 blocks from the main plaza with tons going on. And don't miss eating icecream at the shop on the corner - the shopkeeper won't let you leave without tasting all of the flavors and she has delicious interesting ones like avacado, limon, chipotle chocolate and even pasta (tastes more like cake than pasta tho :-) — Brooke Cassell (2011-03-13) Hostelbookers

This is a delightful hostel to stay in, beautiful courtyard- and it's in a delightful city. I had a whole dorm to myself - there just don't seem to be may backpackers around at the moment in some areas, but Morelia is certainly worth seeing- very sophisticated. The property is located in the Centro Historico so its great for walking around and seeing the sites in Morelia. But the best part is the staff--they're friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to book me on an organized tour to Lake Patzcuaro on short notice (I had a limited amount of time and didn't want the hassle of figuring out bus schedules). The hostel is staffed 24 hours so there is no curfew but the "quiet hours" are enforced so you can sleep. There's free Wifi and computer to use complete with audio equipment which is great for making skype calls back home. There's also a kitchen available to use and I have fun cooking Chinese food to share. But I would emphasize again what makes this hostel great is the staff and owner.
