The Hostelz.com Review
A small hostel located 5 blocks from the train station. It has 6 rooms with bunkbeds. There is a tiny kitchen with a fridge and stove. It also has a reasonably sized sitting area with a TV, tables and chairs, and computers for internet access (15 minutes free). The bathroom is clean a well maintained and the rest of the hostel is about average. It's a small hostel but it's somewhat social.

Nothing special
It's ok. Average. Nothing to write home about. It didn't seem very social when I was there but that dynamic depends more on the travelers than the hostel. Weren't enough showers and the bathrooms were a little dingy. The rooms were really hot, but clean and the beds weren't the worst. The location is ok, but the area around Termini as a whole isn't the greatest.

This is my opinion about Hostel Beautiful 2, Via Milazzo, also in Termini area (the 2 adresses are quite confusing). I stayed in a three-bed female shared room. Very clean room, with sheets and towel provided, good shower, and very helpful and nice staff, really. Conveniently located because of Termini station (good for metro and buses, and you can obviously walk! Better to discover Rome). My room was quite small and there is no shared kitchen. Breakfast has nothing special but it's good to start your day and it is served very quickly. The real inconvenience for me was the noise, because of a school group that didn't respect anyone, but this is a potential problem of hostels.

We were expecting a pretty basic hostel and that's what it was. However, it was very clean with very friendly staff and even provided us with clean towels and clean sheets so we were very happy. There's also a kitchen which provides usual kitchen type things (utensils, pans, plates, fridge, microwave, etc.) and this was also clean, and a great help for those who can just afford a budget of home-cooked pasta. Twenty-four hour reception too which is also great for those late arrivals. We had the twin room with ensuite and the bathroom was actually quite modern (though the drains were a tad stinky). My only very slight gripe is that it was a little noisy some nights. But -- we are early sleepers, and it is a hostel, so it was no worse than we expected. The hostel is also an excellent location for the Termini station where the terravision airport transfer coach drops you off (five minutes walk) and just fifteen to twenty minutes walk to the colloseo too, so fab! All in all -- very pleased. And great rates for Rome too! Thanks to Hostel Beautiful for making our stay in Rome comfortable and enjoyable.

Nice and clean, not expensive and there's a great atmosphere around the place with the staff who are very friendly, even joining us for a few. Also there is no curfew or lockout. It's a 15-minute walk from the Coliseum and 5 minutes from the main station. I definitely recommend this place!

I stayed here for 2 nights and didn't enjoy myself. There is no common room so it's NOT recommended for people travelling on their own, like me, as you won't meet anyone. Also there is no kitchen, TV room or Internet so there isn't much to do in the hostel and you have to eat out. The staff are unwelcoming and unfriendly, not to mention unhelpful! However, the location is great, but there are loads of hostels in this area. The rooms are nice and clean and the reception is open 24 hours.

This hostel is very clean, the kitchen is convenient and you can meet some good people. The location is super easy to get to, only 5 minutes by foot from Termini station. It has free Internet in Splashnet and a special discount for laundry. The bathrooms and showers are perfect, and there's no lockout, which is fantastic.

The rooms were ok, just the bathroom was a bit dirty. But one thing I don't understand - why a boy on desk told me there was not kitchen facility, when I found then a kithen there. Too bad for them, I found another hostel...

This was the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. There are only 3 showers for the whole place, there is nowhere to store your bags in the rooms, the kitchen is tiny and dirty, it is right on the street next to trams so it is very noisy and the toilets don't work very well. A big downside it that they don't allow you to store your bags after you check out but instead they direct you to an out of the way internet cafe some 10 blocks away where you have to pay exorbitant amounts to leave your bag there. I would definitely steer clear of this place.
