Checking In:
Check In is located right next door at Swiss Hotel, (our mother property). The entrance is located on 89 Daly Ave. Just pick up the phone in the entrance, and we'll check you in!
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is 11am.
Reception Hours: 07:30 - 23:00. Please NOTE: Reception is closed at 11pm and you can NOT check-in after 11pm. Once you have the key there is no curfew.
Reservation by Credit Cards: Visa, MC, Amex
CANCELLATION: no later than 6pm, 48 hours prior to check-in date. Cancellation fee of 1 night will be charge within 48 hours.
**A 13% tax is not included and is due upon check in.

this was maybe the best hostel i ever stayed in. it is a such a warm, cosy, calm, nice place, it really does feel a little bit like home. if you plan to visit ottawa, you HAVE to stay in the barefoot hostel. the big living room with a huge flatscreen and two computers and a small kitchen ist great. it is very comfortable to sit on the coach and chat with other travelers. the rooms are nice and the beds are fantastic! the shower is really fancy and spacy. it is great, to see, how much thought was put in the hostel, there are so many neat and useful details, e.g. each bed has a small led reading light, the towels match and and and... the staff is friendly and helpful. the location is great, you can do all your sightseeing by foot.

Very clean, ultra comfortable beds, free Wi-Fi in rooms and common area. Bathrooms were spotless and soap/shampoo/towel included. Staff very friendly and offer free luggage storage after check-out. Prices were very good for central Ottawa - location was unbeatable.

It's impeccably clean. The shower is huge and hot. The kitchen is clean, the rooms are clean. There is a flat-screen television and fast wireless that works perfectly. Big couches, big beds. Lockers. You aren't allowed to wear shoes (hence Barefoot) and it's nice. Wear comfy thick socks in the winter. There is a large back patio that would be nice in the summer. The whole city is at the doorstop. Shopping and eating is close, with two large grocery stores and a beer and liquor store around the corner. The parliament is a 10 minute walk.
