Hostel Duka Reviews on Other Websites
4 Only five minutes from the old town - although that's five vertical minutes - it's got a nice, rustic neighbourhood feel and some great views.   — Roy Delaney (2011-10-11) Hostelbookers
3 We were looking for a private room and hostel Duka came up cheapest on the search. I can't really complain as you get what you pay for. It was basically all the rooms of an apartment rented out to guests with one shared bathroom. We were in what was the lounge/kitchen, now with five single beds in. It was a bit odd as full of old ornaments and stuff but I liked it - also useful having the kitchen facilities. We also had a terrace area which was fantastic as we could look out over the city at night! I did not mind the hill and the location was pretty central.   — Zoe Harris (2011-09-25) Hostelbookers
3 Location, car parking.   — Andrei Meroniuc (2011-09-11) Hostelbookers
5 It¨s nice, clean and friendly.   — Customer review (2011-08-31) Hostelbookers
The hostel is cheap and near the centre, but up to a hill. Staff is not very friendly and only one lady speaks English.   — camilla, Italy (2011-08-21) Hostelsclub
4 Good location very close to the old town.   — John Fortescue (2011-08-20) Hostelbookers
4 Great location and value   — Customer review (2011-08-01) Hostelbookers
5 It was very close to the city center, the room was very large, the shower and bathroom were amazing. Overall it was a great value and the price was cheap.   — Customer review (2011-07-20) Hostelbookers
4 Privacy. Price. Location. Cleanliness. Been there before and stayed again in Duka. And when I comeback to Bosnia again, I´ll stay there for sure.   — Customer review (2011-07-05) Hostelbookers
5 Everything! Great location: 2minute from the very centre. Best staff ever.   — Customer review (2011-07-04) Hostelbookers
4 The owners and their son were lovely, and bent over backwards (in spite of us not speaking Bosnian) to help us move our hire car into an undercover parking space. (Anyone familiar with Sarajevo will realise that this is both important and difficult.) They put us in a huge room, and were super friendly. The hostel is on a street that runs up the Bjelave slope from the cathedral, and is really close to the centre of town, while being high enough up the slope to give a beautiful view across the rooftops. I loved sitting on the windowsill at night while the breeze cooled me down after the walk up the hill. The hostel is ridiculously cheap, probably the cheapest hostel close to the centre of Sarajevo, but it's still clean and well-run.   — Customer review (2011-05-25) Hostelbookers
3 The lady owner who tries to be hospitable. (But, unable to speak English)   — Customer review (2011-05-06) Hostelbookers
5 really comfortable, nearly like a 3*** hotel   — Customer review (2011-04-15) Hostelbookers
4 It is up a pretty big hill, but the view is great. The staff was friendly and it had a great kitchen area for preparing food.   — Peter Bird (2011-04-11) Hostelbookers
The hostel's location is great - it is in the old town. Take your own tea and coffee, sugar and towels since you won't be given any.   — Katarzyna, Poland (2011-02-05) Hostelsclub
5 The owners were very friendly and helpful, even though their english wasnt the best. Nice and clean, almost like a hotel. The bathroom was very clean as well. Refridgerator in the room.   — Customer review (2010-11-27) Hostelbookers
4 Cheap and good location. Just a few minutes walk from the city centre.   — Customer review (2010-11-26) Hostelbookers
5 Nice big rooms, friendly staff, really near the old town which is the best bit of sarejevo to be in.   — kimberley parker (2010-11-12) Hostelbookers
Nice location, nice owner, nice room, perfect for our intentions. Not exactly a fun place neither a typical youth hostel but still it was an awesome and cheap place to stay!   — Pedro, Portugal (2010-10-11) Hostelsclub
