Hostelz.com Guest Reviews
5  My 11-year-old daughter and I lived there last autumn. This is a really quiet and nice place. The hosts: Carmina and Vlad, are the greatest people I ever met. Their daughter is such a nice girl. She was always ready to show us around the vicinity of the hostel. I recommend Vila Gabriela for any person who appreciates home coziness.  ()
5  This place is quiet, clean, and very friendly. The owners who run the hostel greet you themselves with beer, and show you around their hostel home. It is traditional in style, and the rooms are spacious and have television. The bathrooms are clean and have hot water. Access to the kitchen is available, but there is a restaurant/fast food joint and bar just a few minutes walk away. The hostel is set in a quiet location, twenty minutes by bus from the center of the city. It is possible to have the best of both worlds here. It is also half the price, or a lot less, than the hotels in town, and you get everything here that you would get in any hotel in town. A breakfast of a croissant and coffee or tea is included, and can be taken at any reasonable time. Lifts into town or to the airport, or even trips around the country can be organized with Vlad (the hostel owner) as driver. Lacking time, I only managed the trip to the airport, but I will be back next year and will spend more time in Bucharest now I have found this hostel.  ()
