Description
Lagan Backpackers is the perfect place to explore and enjoy everything that Belfast has to offer. We have recently expanded into this new and spacious building as we have had great success with our sister hostel, Lagan Hostel.
Lagan Backpackers is just a spacious house that has been converted into a Backpackers Hostel. Owned and run by a South African guy that knows what backpackers want. My high rating is mostly due to the great attention you can expect from both me and my staff. The advise on tours (that we will happily book for you)
Included is a free breakfast of toast and cerial to go with your tea or coffee.
My idea for a great hostel is very simple. To make you feel at home. Give you a comfortable bed to sleep in. And keep the noise down after eleven at night to make sure everyone gets a good night's sleep.
But also to make you feel so at home that you make new friends and enjoy Belfast as much as possible.
Both my hostels are very friendly to single travelers. As we go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy your stay.
Lagan Hostel is very basic hostel. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is good to use.
Please feel free to check the ratings of our sister hostel, which has been the highest customer-rated hostel for the last six months running on HostelBookers and other accommodation websites.
Our staff are friendly and eager to help with any enquiries our customers have about which places to visit in the area, the history of Belfast, or even just the best pub to enjoy a pint of Guinness. We are on hand to provide personal recommendations for popular tourist attractions and tours of Northern Ireland, and are more than happy to organize and book these tours for our guests.
Lagan Backpackers has a very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere; as our main aim is to ensure our guests feel very much at home. We have full kitchen facilities and a cozy common area where people can eat, relax in front of the television or chat and make new friends.
We provide free tea and coffee for our guests throughout the day, full wireless internet services and laundry services available for a small fee.
We look forward to having you stay with us at Lagan Backpackers, where we will make your experience of Belfast a truly memorable one.
** Please be advised that although there is no curfew, non-hostel guests are not allowed upstairs. This is non-negotiable, as Lagan Backpackers needs to ensure the complete security and comfort of all of its guests. Reception open till 11pm as said in your email confermation. If you expect to arrive later than that please just let us know **

Everything. This was the best hostel I have ever stayed at. Great location, great facilities and most importantly great people. The owner really goes the extra mile to make sure that you enjoy your stay. The hot breakfast every morning is also amazing. I really felt welcome and comfortable at this place. If you're in Belfast, don't even consider staying anywhere else.

We ended up extending our stay here. The value for money was great. The receptionist was so incredibly helpful. The owner even came down to the common area and had a few drinks with us. the atmosphere was really good. I went in the off season I couldn't imagine what its like in peak season.

very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. staff and owner go out of there way to make sure everybody enjoys their stay and it gives a more home feel. the owner brought in beers and shared with everyone which was nice. breakfast is best you'll find in a hostel anywhere. the owner is a past backpacker and it shows as everything you like and want in a hostel is provided, and he has some great stories to tell.
