Very good and fairly priced
Very clean, the rooms are cleaned up every day, they even make your bed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is good, may be not that close to the town centre, but a ten minutes' walk or 2 to 3 Soles for a cab. I had any concern regarding security, every guest gets an own key for the main door. If you are looking for a party location you should consider another hostel, because this one is quite calm, but I mean that's not too bad when you have to get up early in the morning for Machu Picchu.

Great place.
Javier was lovely and we were welcomed with tea on arrival. We loved this place with its little courtyards to sit in and a big lounge room with a TV. breakfast was big and good. We stayed in a private and a dorm and both were fantastic. also it's well within walking distance to supermarkets and restaurants and the main plaza.

I was traveling for five months in latin america, changing about one hundred hostels more or less. This was my favourite. The best. The only hostel in the world where they gave you keys (your own keys) of the entrance door, they don't have reception. It is not a hostel, it is your own home. With your own keys.

Although this hostel looks great and I'm sure is a lovely place to stay, don't rely on email contact. Turning up at the hostel after receiving several emails confirming our reservation we found out that there were not any rooms available! We had booked over a month and a half in advance. A friend that was due to meet us there did not receive any contact by email when trying to book a room, which we later found out from the owner Javier was because he did not have anything available! Javier seemed very hospitable, rooms and bathrooms looked very nice and clean and would have liked to stay there. Tip - double, double check your reservation and phone if possible.

The Hospedaje Recoleta is cozy and clean. Its owner, Javier, is extremely helpful and kind, in a very professional manner, and surprised me by having a clear idea of his business -- which made it even better! Also, his staff is helpful as well and always smiling! I would definitely go back again and recommend it to friends!!

The hostel was clean and comfortable. Viki, the manager, is a delightful and helpful person who made us feel very welcome during our visit.
