The Hostelz.com Review
A cheery hostel 2 blocks from the train station. It isn't very big so there aren't always people around, but it's still a social hostel and it's a good place to meet people. There is a little living room area with a TV and some couches, a kitchen/dining area, and an outdoor sitting area. It's bright and clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen has a microwave, fridge, and sink, but no stove. The rooms have small refridgerators and their own small bathrooms, but no lockers.

3 A pretty basic hostel but good enough for a few nights sleep
We stayed in Bubbles on the main street across from the Termini Station -- it was quite noisy but the Italian traffic does provide great entertainment! Bubbles is in a separate building only five minutes from Fawlty Towers (on the third floor -- it shares with another hostel) and its elevator was working. However, the elevator at Fawlty Towers main building was not working for the five days that we were there and it is on the fifth floor (so quite a climb). The hostel receptionists were both very nice and somewhat helpful (although they couldn't help us get the air-conditioning to work in our room). The hostel is fairly clean but not sparkling. They provide free internet (only one computer), and have a little kitchenette with microwave, coffee machine, sink, and fridge. They don't provide breakfast but there are some communal foodstuffs so we were allowed to use that. The best thing about our stay there was the free BBQ provided on the Friday night. (I'm not sure if they do this often or not). They provided free bruschetta, Italian sausages, and drinks/beer. You could eat as much as you wanted and it was delicious (the company was also great). Overall, this is a hostel so you can't expect great things of it. It is well enough for a few nights stay but I think there is definitely room for them to improve it! Its main advantage is its proximity to the train station and the metro but you could probably find better.

1 Disgusting -- Use your credit card to stay somewhere nicer
This was my first hostel experience and due to the horrible one that it was, my last. I stayed here with girls who wanted to save a few dollars (even though, as it turns out, there are much nicer and cleaner places nearby that run about the same) and have never been so disgusted by a room as I have been by this one. Two disgusting sites that welcomed us were puffballs of mold growing along the edge of the ceiling and sheets (full of body hair) that had not seemed to have been changed before we got there. The room smelled musty. We had booked a room with a private bath and what we got was a shower stall in the corner of the room with clear glass windows. If you're not comfortable with strangers seeing you in the buff, you'll need to go to the community bath down the hall. Among other things, the lounge area was pretty gross. I'm surprised I didn't see roaches crawling all around. At least they have free internet.

1 This hotel is really not great. Receptionists don't care about any complaints. They did not change our sheets which were full with old hairs. Our key to the front door at Bubbles did not work and the receptionist could not open the door either so we had to ask another hostel in the same building and they of course were not very happy. They also forgot our reservation so we had to stay in another hotel they provided for us.

2 This hostel doesn’t really care about their guests and people at the reception can’t help or influence on any process, they decline all responsibility! First, they forgot to change the bedclothes after the previous guests (they said sorry when it found out, but we had already slept on it for one night)! second, they gave us the key from the front door that didn’t work, so we couldn’t get in (we were staying at bubbles). When we ask them for door repairing they said they would but didn’t do. Then, on the way back we had the reservation for one more night in there, but they cancelled it and moved us to the other hotel.

1 This hostel is a disaster. It is completely infested with bedbugs. I have never had such an awful night as the one I spent there, fighting off a dozen or so horrible black crawly things. I left covered with welts.

1 My boyfriend and I stayed here because of the write-up about this place in Let's Go Italy. Needless to say we were both furious about the overall accommodations, and the prices were not that great. First of all, they gave us a room at Bubbles, which is another building of theirs located right near Termini station, which is super noisy. Then after complaining that we specifically asked for a room in their other building, away from the noise, they miraculously came up with a room. What a dump this place is. The mattresses are extremely uncomfortable, the ceiling fan looked like it was about to fall off and the place is dirty. We ended up canceling the remainder of our stay and found a much better place down the street for nearly the same price.

1 I booked online with these guys. I turned up, and despite a confirmation of my e-mail, and credit card details being given, they had no record whatsoever of my reservation. Utter crap.

4 Our rooms didn't have small fridges. It was fairly clean, but I've seen cleaner. The staff were friendly. There were spacious washrooms, but is this room necessary? Luckily the rooms are spacious as well. Shared bathrooms made for some wait time for morning showers.
