The Hostelz.com Review
After a short 20 minute walk up the hill from the bus station (follow the signs when you get to the main street), you'll find the Armagh hostel tucked in a carpark.
Purpose built, it's a comfortable place, if you excuse the cramped rooms. They have squeezed in an ensuite shower and toilet, and provided free lockers, but there wasn't a lot of room left over for the bunks!
The kitchen, dining and lounge areas are big and cosy. And the seperate baths and quiet reading room are a good idea, as is the wheelchair access throughout. Linen is provided.

The Armagh City Hostel is an oasis of civilization in an otherwise troubled world. Staying in this wonderful place awakens your senses to the true beauty of the island of Ireland.
A special mention must also go out to the super-efficient, resourceful and helpful John Crowley, and his smiling sidekick Igor, without whom the hostel would not shine, as it does, as a beacon of light to travelers everywhere.
An absolutely fabulous hostel I would thoroughly recommend to everyone. If you are travelling to Ireland at all, it is worth incorporating a stop in Armagh into your travels just to experience the warm welcome of this top class venue. — Caroline (2005-08-26)

The Armagh Youth Hostel is one of the great hostels of Ireland. To experience a stay at the place is to undergo an invigorating, cultural, and historical journey. Hostellers have never been so lucky. — Jasmine and Jesus of the Basque country (2004-09-11)
