This is the smaller of the two Circus hostels in Berlin. It's close to central Berlin, located in a residential area where not much action happens. A subway stop (Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz) is immediately across the street. Breakfast is extra and served at a restaurant on street level. The rooms are located above through a locked entryway door. The reception is open 24 hours.
Smoking
is allowed in rooms so this easily could be a definite deterrent to non-smokers because the rooms aren't easily ventilated. Be warned as some people specifically search this out just so they can smoke in their rooms and be comfortable.
The reception/commons room offers an internet terminal and drinks. Bathrooms and rooms are well looked after. Modern music plays in the commons area, typically dance/techno. The hostel has a smaller atmosphere with only 80 beds. This hostel does not wrench of smoke, but its presence is apparent.
