Description
This spacious 17th century building is tucked away on the edge of the city and is surrounded by tranquil grounds. A walk along the historic ship canal or expansive River Exe (where herons and kingfishers sometimes linger) will lead you towards the Quay and the beautiful cathedral in the heart of the city. The centre is only a 10-minute bus ride away and has many intriguing attractions to explore:

Attractive property, very friendly staff. The only unfortunate thing about this hostel is that it is quite a long way from the center of town...be prepared for a walk if you don't want to pay for the bus. (Fortunately there is a bus stop fairly close by.) All in all, a very pleasant stay.

The reservation was mixed up- somehow our names were NOT on the list of reservfation! So we had to pay extra to what we had offered for on hostelbookers.com. The staff was helpful though and because we're tired we just took the room. Good thing was: we got the whole to ourselves. Bril! Very clean hostel. Would recommend to all :-)
