This is the best hostel we stayed at in Mexico. It's really cheap, with beautiful private rooms, a lovely common area, and offers cheap trips to the Mayan sites.

I spent a week at the Nomadas back in December and was alarmed by the poor treatment of laborers who were repairing the sewage system at the hostel. I was horrified to see a day laborer sticking his bare hand, unprotected by a rubber glove into a raw sewage hole to unclog the sewer line. Surely it is the responsibility of the manager of the hostel to hire only vendors who provide their workers with the very minimum of sanitary protection!
