Soberanis Hostel

This hostel has clean, nice showers. It's close to nightlife, good food and has a lively outdoor bar. The staff are friendly; practice your Spanish. People at the airport would not tell me where the bus stop was located. It is across the street from the main terminal between Executive and Budget car rental. It costs 40 pesos or $5 US.

This place has some of the tallest bunk beds in the world!! It's not a great place for meeting other backpackers, but it's clean and the rooms are almost hotel-like. There's a little bar downstairs and a big supermarket next door (but no kitchen). This place is a short ride from the hotel region (and the beaches). You could do a lot worse in Cancun.
