Jambo Hostel

Okay I don't quite know how to rate this hostel. I will say that unless you're adventurous you're not gonna enjoy it. There were two owners when I stayed here in January, but I've got a feeling that since then there may have been a few marital problems. HE ended up owing me a large amount of money (my first time in Kenya...scams aplenty) but SHE was lovely. They really did look after me, but Kariobangi is not a great neighborhood and it's far out in the suburbs. But the local kids were great fun to hang with. I spent my time selling mobile phone parts and phone credit with the boy downstairs and talking to the kids about cricket. While six months ago I would've said go nowhere near this place, I think she's really trying to get the hostel working so give it a shot.
