Welcome to DANHOSTEL Ribe Youth and Family Hostel
Danhostel Ribe Vandrerhjem has 170 beds in 40 rooms on tree floors.
Many of the rooms are wheelchair accessible, and the hostel has received The Accessibility Label for handicapped as well as the International Tourism Environment label: The Green Key and the quality label for cyclists. From 2007 Danhostel Ribe is a non smoking hostel and also from 2007 all our normal rooms have private facilities - but as mentioned before: in July and August, we have to open up for group rooms with emergency beds and mattresses for backpackers to have room for everybody.
We recommend our breakfast buffet. Among others it includes organic and homemade products and rolls from the best baker in town.
The Reception is open:
Feb.1 – May 5 and Sept.9 – Nov. 30
From 8am – 12noon and from 4pm – 6pm
June 1 – Aug. 8
From 8 am – 12noon and from 4pm – 8pm

All our guests receive a free Ribe Card. A Ribe Card entitles you to an up to 20% discount at many of the attractions, activities, restaurants and stores in Ribe town.
At Danhostel Ribe Youth and Family Hostel, we welcome guests from more than 35 different countries every year. Most of our guests have an interest in history, art, music, the phenomenon "Black Sun" and the Wadden Sea, but many of our guests simply come to relax and enjoy the cosy atmosphere at the hostel and in Denmark's oldest town.
Our helpful personnel have many years of experience and are committed to giving our guests the best advice and guidance. We are happy to observe that many of our guests return year after year.
Beside our rooms, we can offer plenty of facilities for vacations, field trips, education, courses, conferencing or sports. Below you can see some of the facilities we can offer:

This hostel is amazing -- a real haven of comfort at the heart of Ribe The Danhostel Ribe is very welcoming to weary travelers, with a warm hello, modern facilities in full working order, and also a lot of thought gone into helping the environment.
