Description
Yaranga is a hostel situated in the City of Riga and is one of the closest Hostels/Hotels to Riga Airport (check the map) - about 10 minutes by taxi.
Yaranga is located in less than 20 min (by tram) from the historical Old Town of Riga and most of the city attractions. Today life pulsates at the Old City, loved by residents and travellers alike for its shopping, leisure activities, clubs, cafes, bars, discos and of course restaurants - famous for its vivid nightlife, the biggest scene in Riga.
Yaranga has both private and shared rooms.
The building is situated in a green and peaceful area in the district Imanta. It is only a 10-minute drive from the Riga airport, making it the perfect location to explore both Jurmala and Riga.
The area is very safe. All of our guests appreciate the private and calm atmosphere in the hostel.
The Yaranga offers very quiet single, double, twin and 6 bed rooms. Whether you're visiting Riga with your family, as a small group, for business or studies , Yaranga is cosy, well organized in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for its international guests on a low budget.
2. ROOMS AND ENTIRE SPACE
Yaranga offers inexpensive accommodation in a Single, Double or Twin Private Rooms and in 6 bed room.
Our Hostel has a cosy lounge, where you can meet people from all over the world. In our common room you can relax and watch cable TV, and DVD/MP3/CD set also available.
All rooms are light and have a high ceiling (more than 3.6 m).
For more security there is a safe, where you can leave your valuables.
Beds are placed at floor level only, You have no need to climb up into Your bed.

Twin Private 20sq metres room. Can be used as a Single;
Double Private C 20sq metres room. Can be used as a Single.
The rooms have beds, a wardrobe and a table. Linnen is included. Towels can be rented for 2 euros (optional).
WC/bathroom are shared between all rooms.
The Lobby has a coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle and cups. Here we have also a tea shop and necessity shop for your convenience. We have a cosy common room where you can relax. It is possible to surf the net with our WiFi connection.
Our friendly multilingual reception personnel are on duty 24hrs a day should you need any help or have any enquiries.

There are some features to make Your stay comfortable:

In the building next door - there is a pharmacy, cheap supermarket, restaurant ; across the street - post office.
The Yaranga is well connected to visit and discover Riga and Jurmala resort, especially the 'trendy areas'.
Bus/Tram stops, Taxi stop on the corner. Train station 25 minutes going on foot.
Within a walking distance You can take a train to Jurmala - famous Latvian resort with beatiful white sand beaches. Train costs about 1 eur depending the destination station and trip lasts aprx 25 minutes.
The public transportation around Yaranga is very good. Huge number of trams and buses stop here.
Some destinations, for example:
ZOO - about an hour by tram
Jugendstil area - 0,5 hour by tram or bus
Old City Riga - about 15 min by tram or bus
Bauska - little bit more than hour and half by bus
Sigulda - little bit more than hour by car, or about 1,5 hours by train and walk
Tallin - 4 h by car or bus
Location: very tranquil, spacy area.
Area for summer relaxation.
5. PARKING
Although Riga is known for its parking problems, you will have no trouble finding a parking space directly in front of our house. Free street parking available.
6. CANCELLATION POLICY
No refund possible.
In case of no show after 24h - booking is cancelled (except cases of prior notice of customer being late). In case of cancellation or no show 100% of booking costs will be charged and only one night will be reserved - next dates will be cancelled, except the case customer send a message to the hostel on being late - booking will be maintained according to booked period, but not exceeding actually prepaid amount.

Reserved rooms shall be available for occupancy from 14 p.m. on the agreed day of the client's arrival. The client shall not be entitled to occupy the room earlier than this. Luggage can be left in Storage room free of charge if You arrive early.
On the agreed day of departure the client must vacate the room by 10.30 at the latest. If the client does not vacate the room by this time we shall be entitled to charge 50% of the full room rate as published in the price list until 18.00 for reasons of non-contractual occupation, and if the client vacates the room after 18.00 100% of the full room rate will be charged. This shall not constitute any contractual claims on the part of the client.

After 10 min ride go out at the stop BEBRU IELA. • At the stop turn to the big advertising sign MAXIMA and JYSK (north). • Walk about 150 m and turn right (east) to the street between the supermarket (MAXIMA, now on the left from You) and a tall grey building (RADIOTEHNIKA, now on the right from You). In approx. 200 m on left side You will find about 70 m wide Yaranga building. • Taxi from airport takes about 10-15 minutes. Negotiate price before ride and don't agree on price higher than 8-10 Lats. • From Railway Central • Go out of the main entrance and turn left (to the west). • Walk about 300m. Take a tram nr.4. After 19min ride go out at the stop BEBRU IELA. • At the stop turn to the big advertising sign MAXIMA and JYSK (north). • Walk about 150 m and turn right (east) to the street between the supermarket (MAXIMA, on the left from You) and a tall grey building (RADIOTEHNIKA, on the right from You). In approx. 200 m on left side You will find about 70 m wide Yaranga building. • From Bus Central Garage • Go out of the main entrance and turn right (to the south). In 100m You will see tram stop besides channel. Take a tram nr.4. After 19min ride go out at the stop BEBRU. • At the stop turn to the big advertising sign MAXIMA and JYSK (north). • Walk about 150 m and turn right (east) to the street between the supermarket (MAXIMA, on the left from You) and a tall grey building (RADIOTEHNIKA, on the right from You). In approx. 200 m on left side You will find about 70 m wide Yaranga building. • Taxi from Railway station or Bus Central takes about 15 minutes to ride. Negotiate price before ride and don't agree on price higher than 7-8 Lats. • Public transport costs Ls 0.50 for a ride (about 0.70 EUR), but if You buy it in the bus or tram from the driver – Ls 0.70 (1 EUR). It’s best to buy a ticket (called “e-talons”) for several rides (5 – Ls 2.50; 10 – Ls 4.75; 20 – Ls 9.00) or for 24h (Ls 1.90) or 72 h (Ls 5.70). |
