There are 15 rooms in total, spread across four floors sleeping from one to five people. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with private bathrooms, 24-hour hot water and cable tv in each. The cost is $7.50 per person.
Hamakom Lihiot restaurant provides a wonderful selection of breakfasts included in the overnight price, as well as delicious international fare at lunch and dinner. Specialties include falafel, hummus, and shakshuka.

fantastic hostel,great owners very friendly,great location,breakfast is very good pancakes are amazing.was there during the volcano and they organised transport for us to see the lava at night from a safe place.would definately stay again good size rooms with cable tv.

I had a booking which stated i would be arriving in town just before midnight which is when I arrived! Anyhow, the staff ignored the reservation which was terrible customer service. However, the staff redeemed themselves COMPLETELY by helping me find another even better and cheaper (own room with private bathroom) place just up the street. Mistakes happen and this was outstanding customer service. The manager also offered to allow me use the facilities such as internet for the entire time I was in town. I ended up staying in Banos over 5 days so this was an invaluable service.

We liked how on Friday night there was a huge festive meal, for Shabbat dinner, with both Jews and Non jews enjoying the feast and the after party.
