The restoration has added all modern facilities without spoiling the building's character and guests can be assured by our conscientious staff, security card system and commitment to the highest standards. A bar in the lobby is also available with various drinks, featuring Italian coffee. Delicious food including pizza, pasta, some excellent snacks also served. Our mission is to provide comfortable, secure, clean and spacious accommodation to the budget traveller. Don't just see Shanghai's history; but to know it, live in it for a while!

Mixed dorm:
The 4-bed or 6-bed mixed dorm is equipped with 4-6 single beds in the room, so you need to book one bed per guest.

Double bed room:
The double-bed is equipped with a large sized bed in the room, for two people sharing a double bed.

Twins room:
The twin is equipped with 2 single beds in the room, for two people sharing two single beds.

Three beds room:
The 3-bed is equipped with 3 single beds in the room, for three people sharing three beds.

Guests can enjoy free internet and wi-fi access in the lobby, relax in the lounge or have a drink with friends in our bar. Our large and beautiful lounge is a great place to meet new friends .Our bar is a great place to hang out with various drinks every night of the week! Our lounge is equipped with large flat screen TV.

Please note that we do not currently have self catering facilities. Our restaurant is open Mon-Sun offering a delicious menu with moderate price. Transportations are all available and there are restaurants, shopping malls, parks, galleries nearby. Come stay and enjoy your life!

From Shanghai PuDong International Airport to Koala Garden House • 1) The direct way is by taxi, the price is about 160RMB. • 2) Shuttle Bus NO.4 from PuDong Airport to HongKou Stadium Shuttle Bus Station (price is 22RMB per person), then walk 6~7 minutes to Koala. • 3) You also can take maglev train at Pudong Airport to LongYang Road Maglev Train Station it’s 50RMB per person (but if you show your flight ticket and the price is 40RMB per person), then take taxi, price is about 40RMB. • 2. From Shanghai HongQiao Airport to Koala Garden House • 1) You can by bus NO.925B or take metro line 2 and get off at People's Square Station, and change metro Line 8, get off the metro at HongKou Stadium Station and walk to Duo Lun road about 8 minutes. • 2) You also can take a taxi; it’s about 60RMB. • 3. From Shanghai Railway Station to Koala Garden House • 1) If you take a taxi, it’ll cost 25RMB. • 2) You also can get Subway Line3, get off the metro at Dong Bao Xin Road Station then across the Dong Heng Bang Road, you will arrive at Duo Lun Road - 'Koala Garden House' is there. • 4. From Shanghai South Train Station to Koala Garden House • 1) At Shanghai South Train Station, you can directly by Subway Line 3, and get off the metro at Dong Bao Xin Road Station, then across the Dong Heng Bang Road, you will arrive at the Duo Lun Road - 'Koala Garden House' is there. • 2) The direct way is by taxi, the price is about 50RMB.

Most of the guests are foreigner and the atmosphere is nice. Good common area and cafe (although it's a bit overpriced). I love its location...just on a cultural street (Dolun Road), 5 mins walk to lusun park and you can find some local streets, supermarket and convinent shops around. Don't miss the comtemporary art museum and gellary on Dolun Rd and try the Korean resturant opposite the hostel...brilliant!
