Welcome to Terra Extremus Hostel
Finally we have opened our first hostel on the heart of Santiago, Plaza Italia (Baquedano Subway Station) really close to every sight you should visit in the city: La Moneda Palace of Government, San Cristóbal Hill, Barrio Bellavista and so much more! And something really important when you are a traveler with a huge backpack in your back: is very easy to get to Terra Extremus Hostel! Pick the subway, the cleanest and most secure way of transportation; step out on Baquedano Station and two minutes distance away you will get to our hostel-house.

Once in the hostel you can live the experience of a house built in 1925 for a traditional and rich Chilean family now become hostel. Moreover, we have a lot of social and fun spaces for you: TV-Movie room, Terrace (smoking area), Common Kitchen, Reception Hall and something new: an Art Gallery room where you can find some special and valuable souvenirs from Chile and see young artists in action.

Here in Terra Extremus Hostel we are working hard to offer a very good service: clean and comfortable for an excellent price. Make your money really worth!!! Toilets have a cleanliness work twice a day and you can demand an additional one if you consider it necessary.

Location	From International Airport. You can take a taxi but the cheapest choice is picking the 'Centropuerto Bus' (the blue one) just on the airport exit. After fifteen minutes approximately get off on the first stop 'Pajaritos Subway Station Connection'. There take the subway on 'Escuela Militar way' and get off on 'Baquedano Subway Station'. On the railway follow 'Salida' (exit) upstairs and go out the 'Salida a Providencia' following the right stairs. Just over your face you will find a Bus Station (green station) then walk over there and turn left on the corner (there is a drugstore on the corner) across Vicuña Mackenna. Walk for two minutes to Vicuña Mackenna number 38 and you got it!!! From the Bus Terminal Probably you will be in 'San Borja Terminal' (Estacion Central Subway Station) or Los Heroes Terminal (Los Heroes Subway Station) both on the Line 1 (red one). In both cases take the subway to 'Escuela Militar Way' and get off on 'Baquedano Subway Station'. On the railway follow 'Salida' (exit) upstairs and go out the 'Salida a Providencia' following the right stairs. dorm room was spacious. I only stayed for the day but had to pay full rates, which wasn't a problem. I arrived early in the morning, and the staff member on duty was the least friendliest staff member at any hostel i have encountered, and i have stayed in 3 other hostels in Santiago on previous visits. I think because i woke him up, but it still made me feel uncomfortable. Everyone else was fine. It seems like a great hostel, social, and a good layout. I was just unfortunate to run into a grumpy guy. Great value for money, one of the cheapest in Santiago.. Located in a beautiful building, staff were very friendly (albeit with very little English, and I had no Spanish, but still went out of their way to help with everything). Rooms were clean, very comfortable, if a little squashed. Free beer was definitely a plus (in the bar area, which literally holds about 4 people!). Felt a little cliquey, but I'm sure that's only because it seemed as though every other guest was from a Spanish-speaking country. This place was one of the best we stayed in. We met some great travellers there as well as the staff. Louis rocked!!! We had to ditch one hostel in Santiago due to the muppets running it being poor accountants, bounced over here and were nicely welcomed and kitted out. Any complaints are hugely minor (Hooks in the shower would be good and they're onto it I hear, like I said - minor, not gonna ruin your stay). Location is an easy walk from the hubbub, hot water is good with decent water pressure, beds on par with Wild Rover easily, maybe better, can't say. Squeaky floors will be fixed soon, but who isn't used to them anyway? People are quite helpful and fiends for heading out on the sauce with you if you show a hint of interest.
