It is a great place to relax for a few days after Paihia and Auckland before the drive to Cape Reinga. Local activities include Diving the Rainbow Warrior, fishing, surfing, snorkeling and of course bush walks. You can fly to Bay of Islands Airport or you can drive on the Twin Coast Discovery Road. We are 45 minutes north of The Bay of Islands on the way to Cape Reinga. Head for Matauri Bay and follow the signs.
